My sister has always loved her backyard, her definite “happy place”, however she has recently become wheelchair bound. We found that the sliding patio door was too narrow to accommodate her new wheelchair. The wonderful people at Kempenfelt looked at the door and immediately worked on a solution to accommodate the new wheelchair and did so in an extremely timely manner! Not only do the new garden doors allow her to access her back yard, they are beautiful and a wonderful addition to our home!! We are indebted to Kempenfelt Windows & Doors as well as Dorplex, who provided the hardware on short notice. Their compassion for our situation was greatly appreciated and they went beyond our expectations for service. We feel like loved members of the Kempenfelt family. We had a custom 8ft tall front door built and installed by Kempenfelt Windows & Doors. The entire process (initial quote visit, follow-up visit to confirm dimensions and the installation itself) was very smooth, predictable and enjoyable. The installers were polite, thorough and the end result is a really gorgeous product. And Kempenfelt’s locally made door not only came in on time, it was far more competitive than the other option which would have come from the USA.
